hung out with these people for a week in west virginia

carrying fresh mountain water to campsite!!

cooking one pot meals over a campfire nothing like delicious dehydrated food. less to carry! and actually, they weren't so bad really!

it was rather chilly even during the day!! i think we woke up to frozen water bottles every morning except maybe one!

it was very pretty, diverse scenery!! one time we ended up hiking after dark and I cannot begin to describe the stars to you ~ it was a cold clear night and the stars just went on forever. most beautiful thing I ever saw ~

had a little bit of swamp crossing, but nothing like in the summer when the ground wasn't frozen and the little stream/rivers we could rock hop, so that was nice for the dry feet kind of people!

went rock climbing, via ferrata to be exact. it was totally awesome ~ would luv to do it again!!

crossed a swinging bridge ~ it was 150 ft high and 200 ft across! ~ 2X4 steps every 1.5 ft or something like that.
VIA stands for "very intense adventure". "Ferrata" is Italian for "like driving a ferrari". interesting fact I found on there website!

this picture is taken from the head wall or summit and that little line across the middle is the swinging bridge we crosses ~ pretty sweet huh!!
it was a very good trip, and I'm just putting in a word for those of you that would like to do something like this trip ~ to enjoy nature, be stretched outside of your comfort zone, leave the comfys of home for a little and put in some quality God time. check us out at camp andrews. we are planning trips for next spring. !! in florida! a beautiful iced tea colored river that wides thru the spanish moss and natural springs called the suwanne river!!
